The Art of the Burn: Ritual & Care

To ensure the longevity and performance of your DOEY candle, please follow our curated ritual:

• The First Burn: Ignite the Premium Cherry Wood Wick and allow the wax to melt to the edges (approx. 1 hour). This prevents "tunneling" and ensures a clean, even melt pool.
• The Wood Wick Experience: We use authentic North American cherry wood. Variation in flame height and a gentle crackling sound (reminiscent of a campfire) are natural and desired features of this artisanal material.
• Flame Maintenance: If you desire a larger flame, gently remove the charred portion of the wood wick after it has cooled. To maintain a smaller, more intimate flame, leave the wick untrimmed.
• A Smoke-Free Finale: To extinguish, simply place the provided ceramic lid over the vessel. This starves the flame of oxygen and prevents smoke from lingering in your space. Always keep covered when not in use to protect the wax from dust.
